What does "love" mean to you?

Saturday we went into SF to eat breakfast.  On the way out I saw a sign; something about what comes to your mind when you think of the word "love".

I wrote, "True diversity: where all people willingly mix with one another versus segregate themselves"

To me, there is no diversity, if the 1st chance people have to gravitate towards their own "demographic", they do so, and in the meantime, by implied default, isolate themselves from any peer that's different from them.

They say, "Talk is cheap" and the pro-diversity, anti-racism crowd is full of cheap talkers. I don't think this is an American thing, a Caucasian thing, a "White" thing, I think it's a planet thing. No one group of people seems exempt from the common tendency to gravitate towards their own kind; either by fear, ignorance, prejudice, racism, or whatever!  And it happens all the time. Quite often, it seems, this is done on the pretense of some feeling of superiority over xyz group. "Well isn't THAT convenient!!", as "The Church Lady" was known to say.

We are all guilty of this, and I think that to what extent we're all guilty of this, we deprive others of love, and we deprive ourselves of love as well.

And I will never be convinced that it has to be that way.

We'll more than likely continue to come up with some bs excuse that will allow ourselves to perpetuate the status quo, but that's exactly what it is: bs!
